Rajas Medical Institutions, an avant garde group of healthcare and allied‑health education Institutions based in Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu, India was founded in 1987 by Sardar Dr. S.A. Raja, and has been at the forefront of providing professional education in Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Allied Health Sciences and related fields for nearly four decades. Rajas Medical Institutions holds true to its long and illustrious heritage, having delivered world class health care to the myriad lives of multitudes of patients, in addition to proffering quality education in 8 courses at the Undergraduate level, 13 courses at Postgraduate level and 2 different Postdoctoral courses for our current students and burgeoning alumni.

Research
Rajas Medical Institution accords the highest priority to research and innovation. Each Department of each Institution inducts the spirit of inquiry and exploration in our students under the guidance of our diligent faculty. The Central Research Laboratory (CRL) was envisaged to be the crucible of ideas and the crux of all research work of Rajas Medical Institutions. A corpus of INR 10 Lakhs was initially demarcated as a core fund for invigorating and bolstering the research temper of our students and faculty alike during their quest for a PhD thesis or MDS dissertation or even Short Term Study (STS) undertaken by our undergraduates.
The CRL endeavors to provide a congenial environment for translating the fruits of research to the common man’s bedside/chairside. The research facilities of the CRL is intended to instill the spirit of scientific investigation and foster innovation in our talented Faculty and thus guide them to rediscover their own potential and realize their dreams.
The CRL has partnered with elite and premier bodies such as the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) and the Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST) in the conduct of several symposia or workshops and research projects for which we have received several grants across the years which has culminated in many studies which have proven beneficial to the community by way of newer drug development through phytochemical research in the quest to discern and discover novel actionable solutions to antimicrobial resistance.
